Sustainable development for a liveable future:
GIZ is a service provider in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development and international education with over 50 years of experience in a wide variety of areas.
As a public non-profit federal enterprise owned by the German Government, GIZ implements projects for technical cooperation in around 120 countries on behalf of the German Government, European Union institutions, the United Nations, and governments from Europe and worldwide. GIZ works with businesses, civil society actors and research institutions, fostering successful interaction between development policy and other policy fields and areas of activity.
GIZ is dedicated to shaping a future worth living around the world.
GIZ supports their cooperation partners to generate ideas for political, social and economic change, to develop these into concrete plans and to implement them. Together with the partners in national governments, cooperation partners from the worlds of business, research and civil society, GIZ works flexibly to deliver effective solutions that offer people better prospects and sustainably improve their living conditions.
As part of German Cooperation, GIZ is active in Mozambique since 1985. Activities are focussed on the following areas: Good Governance, Technical and vocational education and training, Private sector and financial systems development, displacement and migration as well as renewable energy and energy efficiency.
