OFI has a workforce of 46.The main operations of OFI are :a.Manufacturing, distribution of beverages and Food commodities (Peanut butter, etc) b.Agriculture (contract farming) .The company established a groundnut outgrower scheme for smallholder farmers. The scheme is based in Makonde District, Mash-West Province, one of the richest agricultural zones. This was done to underpin the company’s strategy of backward integration, to increase local production of groundnuts and to reduce importation as Odzi was failing to acquire enough groundnuts locally for their production to meet the high demand.
